MICAT Entrance Exam

MICAT is the mandatory entrance test for admission to PGDM programs at MICA Ahmedabad. It is a Computer Based Test (CBT) and will be conducted twice for selection of PGDM-C and PGDM 2024-2025 batch.

What is the pattern of MICAT exam?

MICAT exam is slightly different from most of the MBA entrance exam patterns. It has three different sections, namely- Psychometric Test, Section A (Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability, General Awareness and Divergent-Convergent Thinking) and Section B (Descriptive Test).

Does MICAT have reservation?

The CAT, CMAT and IIFT exam fee for Reserved category students is 50 per cent less than that of the fees for General category students; but the exam fee of XAT and SNAP exam is same for all students. On the other hand, in private MBA exams like SNAP and MICAT, there is no reservation of seats.

How is MICAT Scored?

The score obtained individually by a candidate in a particular sub-section of MICAT-I/ MICAT-II, e.g. Verbal Ability will be converted into a Normalized Score. Scores shall be normalized using appropriate statistical methods by considering scores of all qualifying candidates up to the stage applicable to the candidate.

How can I pay the MICAT registration fee?

Test takers can pay MICAT registration fee through either net banking or debit/credit card or through cash.

In how many phases is MICAT exam conducted?

MICAT exam is conducted in two phases. MICAT I which is held in December and MICAT II which is held in January.

What is the eligibility of MICAT exam?

Candidate must have a bachelor degree of minimum three years (10+2+3 system) from the recognized university. Candidates appearing in their final year of graduation can also appear in the entrance exam.

What is a good score in MICAT?

The tentative MICAT cut-off by experts should be around 45-47 marks.

Does MICAT consider CAT score?

MICAT does not consider performance in CAT/XAT/GMAT either for the purpose of shortlisting for GE-PI or for the purpose of computation of composite score
