Popularly known as XAT, Xavier Aptitude Test is an all-India management aptitude exam organised by Xavier Labour Relation Institute on behalf of XAMI. XLRI conducts the exam to scan out the best students for management education. Every year, more than 1 lakh aspirants appear in the exam to pursue higher studies at XLRI and its associated institutes. The XAT score is accepted by more than 150 management institutes in India and abroad.

Why XAT Exam is required?

XAT is a common test for admission into academic programmes of XLRI. Applicants should note that registration for XAT 2023 and appearing for XAT 2023 is the preliminary step towards applying to XLRI and XAT Associate Institutes. Candidates interested in XLRI need to apply for the programmes of their choice.

Is XAT Exam mandatory?

XAT 2023 Exam Eligibility for NRIs: While XAT 2023 eligibility criteria for domestic candidates require the candidates to appear in XAT 2023, which is the mandatory exam for admission to member and associate B-schools for Indian candidates for MBA/PGDM 2023-25 batch, the XAT exam eligibility for NRI and foreign.

How is XAT Scored?

XAT is considered more difficult than other MBA entrance exams. Its scoring pattern of +1 mark for each correct answer and -0.25 mark negative marking makes it difficult to score beyond 35-40 marks. … The difficulty level as well as reduced number of questions fetch high percentile at low scores in XAT exam.

My bachelor's degree is unfinished, and I'm in my final year of graduation. Can I register for CAT?

Candidates who have finished degree requirements and are awaiting results as well as those who are taking the final exam for their bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification may also apply for the CAT. In the CAT Application, you must state your aggregate percentage up to the most recent marks statement you received from the university.

What are the requirements for eligibility to take the CAT?

Any one of the following requirements should be met by applicants for the CAT exam:

Completed their undergraduate studies with the necessary percentage of marks*.
Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree and should have the required percentage*.
Completed the required percentage of a professional degree (CA, CS, or ICWA).

*Candidates who are SC/ST/PwD must have a minimum GPA of 45%. For General, EWS and NC-OBC candidates, the minimum is 50%.

Is the use of calculators allowed on the Digital SAT?

Yes. On the Digital SAT, students are permitted to use specific calculators to answer questions in the Math section. On test day, students may use their own approved calculator or the graphing calculator built directly into the testing application. There’s more to bringing your own calculator to use throughout the Math section than just making sure you have a fresh set of batteries.
